Epidemiological Studies

Epidemiological studies are observational studies that investigate the distribution and determinants of health and disease in populations. These studies aim to identify risk factors and protective factors for diseases, and to quantify the association between these factors and the occurrence of disease. Epidemiological studies can be used to inform public health policies and interventions, and to guide clinical decision-making. They can also be used to identify new areas for research and to generate hypotheses for further investigation. There are several types of epidemiological studies, including cohort studies, case-control studies, cross-sectional studies, and ecological studies.
