Cross-sectional

In Data Science, cross-sectional refers to a type of study design that involves the analysis of data collected from a population or a sample at a specific point in time. This type of study design is often used to investigate the prevalence of a particular condition or disease, or to examine the relationship between different variables at a specific point in time. Cross-sectional studies can be used to generate hypotheses, but they cannot establish causality or determine the direction of the relationship between variables. Cross-sectional studies are often used in epidemiology, public health, and social sciences.
