Solid-State Drives

Solid-State Drives (SSDs) are data storage devices that use NAND-based flash memory to store and retrieve data. Unlike traditional Hard Disk Drives (HDDs), SSDs have no moving parts, which makes them faster, more reliable, and less prone to mechanical failure. SSDs are commonly used in laptops, desktops, servers, and other computing devices that require high-speed data access and low latency. SSDs are also used in data centers and cloud computing environments to improve the performance and scalability of storage systems. SSDs can be connected to a computer using various interfaces, such as SATA, NVMe, and PCIe, and can have different form factors, such as 2.5-inch, M.2, and U.2.
