Network Layer Protocol

In computer networking, the Network Layer Protocol is a layer in the OSI model responsible for routing and forwarding data packets between different networks. It provides logical addressing, which enables packets to be routed across multiple networks, and determines the best path for data transmission. The Network Layer Protocol also manages congestion control, packet sequencing, and error handling. Examples of Network Layer Protocols include IP (Internet Protocol), ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol), and ARP (Address Resolution Protocol).
