IP

IP stands for Internet Protocol. It is a set of rules that governs the format of data sent over the internet or other networks. IP provides a unique address to each device connected to a network, known as an IP address. This address is used to identify and communicate with the device. There are two versions of IP: IPv4 and IPv6. IPv4 uses a 32-bit address format and can support up to 4.3 billion unique addresses. IPv6 uses a 128-bit address format and can support an almost infinite number of unique addresses. IP is a fundamental protocol in the internet and is used in conjunction with other protocols such as TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) and UDP (User Datagram Protocol) to enable communication between devices.
