Logical Addressing

Logical addressing is a method of addressing data in a computer's memory that allows programs to access memory locations without knowing the physical memory address. In logical addressing, each memory location is assigned a unique logical address, which is used by the program to access the data. The operating system then maps the logical address to a physical address, which is the actual location of the data in memory. This allows the operating system to manage memory more efficiently, by allocating and deallocating memory as needed, and by protecting memory from unauthorized access. Logical addressing is an important concept in virtual memory systems, where the size of the memory address space may be larger than the amount of physical memory available.
