Hard Drives
Hard drives are non-volatile storage devices that store and retrieve digital data using magnetic storage and rotating platters. They are commonly used in computers and other electronic devices to store operating systems, software applications, and user data. Hard drives come in different sizes and capacities, ranging from a few gigabytes to several terabytes. They are connected to the computer's motherboard using various interfaces such as SATA, SCSI, and SAS. Hard drives have a read/write head that moves over the spinning platters to access and modify data. They also have a cache memory that stores frequently accessed data for faster retrieval. Hard drives can be internal or external, and they can be HDD (hard disk drive) or SSD (solid-state drive) type.
