Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a medical imaging technique that uses high frequency sound waves to visualize internal organs and tissues in the body. In this technique, a transducer is placed on the skin and emits sound waves that penetrate the body. These waves bounce off the internal structures and are then detected by the transducer, which converts them into an image that can be viewed on a screen. Ultrasound is commonly used in obstetrics to monitor fetal development and in cardiology to evaluate the heart and blood vessels. It is also used to diagnose and monitor a variety of medical conditions, including liver disease, kidney disease, and cancer. In addition, ultrasound is a non-invasive and safe imaging technique that does not use ionizing radiation, making it a preferred choice for imaging pregnant women and children.
