ECoG

Electrocorticography (ECoG) is a neuroimaging technique that records electrical activity directly from the surface of the brain using an array of electrodes placed on the exposed cortex. ECoG provides high spatial and temporal resolution, allowing for the study of neural activity at the level of individual neurons and small populations of neurons. ECoG has been used to study a wide range of cognitive processes, including perception, attention, memory, language, and motor control. It has also been used to develop brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) for individuals with paralysis or other motor impairments, allowing them to control external devices using their thoughts.
