Brain-computer Interfaces

Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) are systems that enable direct communication between the brain and an external device, such as a computer or a prosthetic limb, without the need for any muscular movement. BCIs use various techniques to record and interpret brain signals, such as electroencephalography (EEG), magnetoencephalography (MEG), and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). These signals are then translated into commands that can be used to control the external device. BCIs have the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with technology and to provide new opportunities for people with disabilities. They can also be used for research purposes, such as studying brain function and developing new therapies for neurological disorders.
