Censoring

Censoring is a technique used in survival analysis to handle incomplete data. It occurs when the event of interest (such as death or failure) for some individuals is not observed within the study period. Censoring can be either right-censoring or left-censoring. Right-censoring occurs when the event of interest has not occurred by the end of the study period, while left-censoring occurs when the event of interest has occurred before the study period. Censoring is an important concept in survival analysis as it allows for the inclusion of incomplete data in the analysis, which can improve the accuracy of the results.
