United Nations Statistics Division
The United Nations Statistics Division is a branch of the United Nations Secretariat responsible for coordinating and promoting the development of official statistics and providing guidance and technical support to countries in the collection, analysis, and dissemination of reliable and timely statistical data. The Division also plays a key role in monitoring global progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by collecting and analyzing data on a wide range of social, economic, and environmental indicators. In addition, the Division works to improve the quality and comparability of international statistics through the development of statistical standards and methods, and by promoting the use of new technologies and data sources.
