Trojans
In the context of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Trojans refer to malicious code or software that is intentionally inserted into a machine learning model or dataset with the aim of causing harm or exploiting vulnerabilities. These Trojans can be used to manipulate the behavior of the model or dataset, leading to incorrect predictions or decisions. They can also be used to steal sensitive data or to launch attacks on other systems. Trojans can be difficult to detect as they are designed to remain dormant until triggered by a specific event or condition. They can be introduced at any stage of the machine learning pipeline, from data collection to model deployment. As the use of machine learning becomes more widespread, the threat of Trojans is becoming increasingly significant, particularly in applications such as autonomous vehicles, medical diagnosis, and financial trading.
