Machine Learning Model
A machine learning model is a mathematical representation of a real-world process that is learned from data. It is a program that can automatically improve its performance at a specific task by learning from experience. The model is trained on a dataset, which is a collection of examples that represent the problem to be solved. The model learns patterns and relationships in the data and uses this knowledge to make predictions or decisions on new data. The performance of the model is evaluated on a separate set of data, called the test set, to ensure that it can generalize to new, unseen data. Machine learning models can be supervised, unsupervised, or semi-supervised, depending on the type of learning algorithm used. Supervised models learn from labeled data, while unsupervised models learn from unlabeled data. Semi-supervised models learn from a combination of labeled and unlabeled data. Machine learning models are used in a wide range of applications, including image and speech recognition, natural language processing, fraud detection, and recommendation systems.
