Statistical Test
In Data Science, a statistical test is a method of analyzing data to determine whether a hypothesis is supported or not. It involves comparing observed data with expected data under a null hypothesis, and calculating a test statistic that measures the difference between the two. The test statistic is then compared to a critical value, and if it exceeds this value, the null hypothesis is rejected in favor of an alternative hypothesis. Statistical tests are used to make inferences about populations based on samples, and to determine the significance of relationships between variables. They are widely used in fields such as psychology, economics, biology, and social sciences.
