Standard Score

In Data Science, a standard score is a measure of how many standard deviations an observation or data point is from the mean of a dataset. It is also known as a z-score. Standard scores are used to compare and analyze data from different normal distributions. A standard score of 0 indicates that the data point is equal to the mean, while a score of 1 indicates that the data point is 1 standard deviation above the mean. Similarly, a score of -1 indicates that the data point is 1 standard deviation below the mean. Standard scores are useful in identifying outliers and extreme values in a dataset, as well as in normalizing data for statistical analysis.
