Geographic Coordinate
A geographic coordinate is a set of two or three numbers used to specify a location on the Earth's surface. The two numbers are latitude and longitude, which represent the angular distance of a location from the equator and the prime meridian, respectively. The third number, if included, is altitude, which represents the height of the location above sea level. Geographic coordinates are commonly used in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and mapping applications to identify and locate features on the Earth's surface. They are also used in navigation systems, such as GPS (Global Positioning System), to determine the precise location of a device or vehicle. In data science, geographic coordinates can be used to analyze and visualize spatial data, such as the distribution of crime or the spread of a disease.
