Referential Integrity
Referential Integrity is a concept in data science that ensures that relationships between tables in a database remain consistent. It is a set of rules that ensures that the data in one table that refers to data in another table is valid and accurate. In other words, it ensures that the foreign key in one table matches the primary key in another table. Referential Integrity is important because it helps to maintain the accuracy and consistency of data in a database. It prevents the creation of orphaned records, which are records that have no corresponding record in another table. It also ensures that data is not deleted from one table if it is still being referenced by another table. This helps to prevent data inconsistencies and errors.
