FPGAs are particularly useful in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence applications because they can be reprogrammed to implement custom hardware accelerators for specific algorithms, resulting in significant performance improvements. Additionally, FPGAs can be used to implement custom hardware architectures for neural networks, enabling the creation of highly optimized and efficient deep learning models.
