Photomask
In Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, a photomask is a high-precision quartz or glass plate that contains a pattern of opaque and transparent areas. It is used in the semiconductor manufacturing process to transfer the pattern onto the wafer surface. The photomask is placed in a stepper or scanner, which projects the pattern onto the wafer using ultraviolet light. The pattern on the photomask is created using computer-aided design (CAD) software and is an essential component in the lithography process.
