Kruskal-Wallis Test
The Kruskal-Wallis test is a non-parametric statistical test that is used to determine whether there are significant differences between two or more groups of an independent variable on a continuous or ordinal dependent variable. It is an extension of the Mann-Whitney U test and is used when there are more than two groups being compared. The test is based on the ranks of the data and does not assume that the data are normally distributed. The null hypothesis of the Kruskal-Wallis test is that there is no difference between the groups being compared, while the alternative hypothesis is that at least one group is different from the others. If the p-value is less than the significance level, the null hypothesis is rejected and it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the groups.
