Host-based IDS
Host-based Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is a security solution that monitors and analyzes the activity and events occurring on a single host or endpoint to detect any malicious or unauthorized activity. It collects and analyzes data from various sources such as system logs, file changes, network connections, and system calls to identify any suspicious behavior. Host-based IDS is designed to detect attacks that may bypass network-based security measures such as firewalls and intrusion prevention systems.
