Hazard Function
In survival analysis, the hazard function represents the probability of an event occurring at a specific time, given that the event has not occurred up to that time. It is a fundamental concept in the analysis of time-to-event data, where the goal is to model the time until an event of interest occurs. The hazard function can be used to estimate the probability of an event occurring within a certain time interval, and to compare the risk of the event between different groups or populations.
