Deductive Reasoning

Deductive reasoning is a logical process in which a conclusion is drawn from a set of premises. It starts with a general statement, or hypothesis, and examines the possibilities to reach a specific, logical conclusion. In data science, deductive reasoning is used to test hypotheses and make predictions based on existing data. It involves using existing knowledge and data to draw conclusions about new situations or data points. Deductive reasoning is often used in statistical analysis, where a hypothesis is tested against a sample of data to determine its validity. It is also used in machine learning, where models are trained on existing data to make predictions about new data. Deductive reasoning is an important tool in data science, as it allows for the testing and validation of hypotheses and models.
