Collision-Resistant

Collision resistance is a property of cryptographic hash functions that ensures that it is computationally infeasible to find two inputs that hash to the same output. In other words, it is difficult to find two different messages that produce the same hash value. Collision resistance is important in many cryptographic applications, such as digital signatures, message authentication codes, and key derivation functions. A hash function that is not collision-resistant can be vulnerable to attacks, such as birthday attacks, where an attacker can find two inputs that produce the same hash value with a high probability.
