Cryptographic Algorithms

Cryptographic algorithms are mathematical functions used to secure digital data and communications. These algorithms are designed to provide confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity of data. Cryptographic algorithms can be divided into two categories: symmetric and asymmetric. Symmetric algorithms use the same key for encryption and decryption, while asymmetric algorithms use a public key for encryption and a private key for decryption. Cryptographic algorithms are used in various applications such as secure communication, digital signatures, and data encryption. The strength of a cryptographic algorithm is measured by its ability to resist attacks and the amount of time it takes to perform encryption and decryption.
