Communication Channel
In Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, a communication channel refers to the medium through which data is transmitted from one point to another. It can be a physical medium such as wires, cables, or fiber optics, or a wireless medium such as radio waves or infrared signals. The communication channel can also be classified based on its direction of transmission, which can be simplex, half-duplex, or full-duplex. In simplex transmission, data can only flow in one direction, while in half-duplex transmission, data can flow in both directions, but not at the same time. In full-duplex transmission, data can flow in both directions simultaneously. The quality of the communication channel can be measured in terms of its bandwidth, which is the amount of data that can be transmitted per unit time, and its latency, which is the time delay between the transmission and reception of data.
