ABAC Policies
Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) is a security model that uses attributes to make access control decisions. ABAC policies are a set of rules that define how access to resources is granted or denied based on attributes of the user, resource, and environment. These policies are defined using a policy language and enforced by a policy engine. ABAC policies can be used to implement fine-grained access control, where access decisions are based on multiple attributes, such as user role, location, time of day, and device type. ABAC policies can also be used to enforce regulatory compliance, such as HIPAA or GDPR, by ensuring that only authorized users have access to sensitive data.
