Access control systems use authentication and authorization to ensure that only authorized users can access resources. Authentication is the process of verifying the identity of a user, device, or application. Authorization is the process of granting or denying access to a resource based on the authenticated user's permissions. Access control is a critical component of data security and is used in various industries, including healthcare, finance, and government.
