Viterbi Algorithm

The Viterbi algorithm is a dynamic programming algorithm that finds the most likely sequence of hidden states (or labels) that results in a sequence of observed events (or features), especially in the context of Markov processes. It is widely used in various fields such as speech recognition, natural language processing, bioinformatics, and image processing. The algorithm works by recursively computing the probability of the most likely sequence of hidden states that ends in a particular state, given the observed sequence up to that point. The algorithm keeps track of the maximum probability and the corresponding path that leads to that probability. The final output is the most likely sequence of hidden states that corresponds to the maximum probability.
