Spectroscopic Imaging
Spectroscopic imaging is a technique that combines spectroscopy and imaging to provide spatially resolved spectra of a sample. In other words, it is a method of obtaining both the chemical composition and spatial distribution of a sample. Spectroscopic imaging is widely used in various fields such as chemistry, biology, medicine, and materials science. In data science and artificial intelligence, spectroscopic imaging is used to extract features from the spectra and images, and to develop models for classification, regression, and clustering. Spectroscopic imaging can be performed using various techniques such as Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopic imaging, Raman spectroscopic imaging, and fluorescence spectroscopic imaging.
