Sparse Matrix
In data science, a sparse matrix is a matrix in which most of the elements are zero. Sparse matrices are used to represent large datasets that have a lot of missing or irrelevant data. They are particularly useful in machine learning algorithms that involve large datasets, as they can significantly reduce the amount of memory required to store the data. Sparse matrices are often stored in compressed formats, such as Compressed Sparse Row (CSR) or Compressed Sparse Column (CSC), which further reduce the amount of memory required to store the data.
