RNA
RNA stands for Ribonucleic Acid. It is a molecule that plays a crucial role in the coding, decoding, regulation, and expression of genes. In Data Science, RNA is used in gene expression analysis, where it is used to measure the levels of gene expression in different tissues or under different conditions. RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) is a technique used to determine the sequence and abundance of RNA molecules in a sample. This technique is widely used in transcriptomics, which is the study of the transcriptome, the complete set of RNA transcripts produced by the genome. RNA-seq data is analyzed using various computational methods, including alignment, quantification, differential expression analysis, and functional annotation. RNA interference (RNAi) is another important application of RNA in Data Science. It is a mechanism by which RNA molecules can silence or downregulate gene expression by binding to complementary mRNA molecules and preventing their translation into proteins.
