Quantitative Variable
In data science, a quantitative variable is a type of variable that is measured using numerical values or counts. It is a variable that can be expressed in terms of quantity or amount. Quantitative variables can be either discrete or continuous. Discrete quantitative variables are those that can only take on specific values, such as the number of children in a family or the number of cars in a parking lot. Continuous quantitative variables are those that can take on any value within a certain range, such as height or weight. Quantitative variables are often used in statistical analysis to measure the relationship between two or more variables, and to make predictions based on that relationship.
