Peer-to-Peer Networks

Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Networks are decentralized computer networks where each node (or peer) in the network acts as both a client and a server, allowing for direct communication and file sharing between nodes without the need for a central server. P2P networks are often used for sharing large files, such as music or video, and can be either structured or unstructured. In structured P2P networks, nodes are organized in a specific topology, such as a distributed hash table, while unstructured P2P networks have no specific organization. P2P networks can be vulnerable to security threats, such as malware and hacking, and require robust security measures to protect against these threats.
