Optical Scanner
An optical scanner is a device that captures images of physical documents and converts them into digital images. It uses optical character recognition (OCR) technology to recognize and convert text within the document into machine-readable text. Optical scanners are commonly used in data entry, document management, and information retrieval systems. They can be either handheld or stationary, and can scan documents in black and white or color. Optical scanners are also used in biometric systems to capture and analyze fingerprints, iris patterns, and other physical characteristics for identification purposes.
