Non-volatile memory (NVM) is a type of computer memory that can retain stored information even after power is turned off. NVM is used in applications where persistent storage is required, such as in solid-state drives (SSDs), USB flash drives, and memory cards. NVM is also used in embedded systems, where it is used to store firmware and other critical data. NVM is faster than traditional hard disk drives (HDDs) and has lower power consumption. There are several types of NVM, including flash memory, phase-change memory (PCM), and resistive random-access memory (RRAM). NVM is becoming increasingly popular in data centers, where it is used to store frequently accessed data and reduce latency.
