MOSFETs
MOSFET stands for Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor. It is a type of transistor that is widely used in electronic circuits for amplification and switching. MOSFETs are three-terminal devices that consist of a source, a drain, and a gate. The gate is separated from the channel by a thin layer of oxide, which acts as an insulator. By applying a voltage to the gate, the electric field created by the voltage can control the flow of current between the source and the drain. MOSFETs are commonly used in digital circuits, power electronics, and analog circuits. They are preferred over other types of transistors due to their high input impedance, low power consumption, and fast switching speed.
