Mode

In statistics, mode refers to the value that appears most frequently in a dataset. It is a measure of central tendency, along with mean and median. In data science, mode is used to identify the most common value in a categorical variable. For example, in a dataset of customer reviews, the mode of the 'rating' variable would indicate the most common rating given by customers. Mode can also be used to identify outliers in a dataset, as values that appear significantly less frequently than the mode may be considered unusual. In machine learning, mode can be used as a simple baseline model for classification tasks, where the most common class in the training data is predicted for all new instances.
