Message-oriented Middleware

Message-oriented Middleware (MOM) is a software architecture pattern that enables communication between distributed systems by exchanging messages. It provides a reliable and scalable way to send and receive messages between applications, services, and components. MOM decouples the sender and receiver, allowing them to operate independently and asynchronously. The sender publishes a message to a message broker, which then delivers the message to the appropriate receiver. MOM supports various messaging patterns, such as point-to-point, publish-subscribe, and request-reply. It also provides features like message queuing, message filtering, and message transformation. MOM is widely used in enterprise applications, IoT, and cloud computing to integrate disparate systems and enable real-time data processing.
