Mann-Whitney U Test

The Mann-Whitney U test is a non-parametric statistical hypothesis test used to compare two independent samples. It is used to determine whether two independent groups have been drawn from populations with the same distribution or not. The test is based on the rank-sum of the two groups and does not require the assumption of normality or equal variances. The null hypothesis of the test is that the two groups have the same distribution, while the alternative hypothesis is that they have different distributions. The test is widely used in data science and machine learning to compare the performance of different models or algorithms on different datasets.
