Fault Tolerance

Fault tolerance is the ability of a system to continue functioning properly in the event of the failure of one or more of its components. In data science and artificial intelligence, fault tolerance is crucial for ensuring that algorithms and models continue to operate correctly even when there are errors or failures in the data or hardware. This can be achieved through redundancy, where multiple copies of data or hardware components are used to ensure that if one fails, the system can continue to operate using the others. Another approach is to use error detection and correction techniques, which can identify and correct errors in data or hardware components. Fault tolerance is particularly important in applications such as self-driving cars, where a failure in the system could have serious consequences.
