False Positive
In Data Science, a False Positive is a result that indicates a given condition has been met, when in fact it has not. False positives can occur in various fields of Data Science, such as in binary classification problems, anomaly detection, and hypothesis testing. For example, in medical diagnosis, a false positive can lead to unnecessary treatments or surgeries, causing harm to the patient. To reduce the occurrence of false positives, various techniques can be used, such as adjusting the threshold of the model, using different evaluation metrics, or improving the quality of the data.
