CMYK

CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (Black) and is a color model used in printing. In this model, colors are created by subtracting different amounts of cyan, magenta, and yellow inks from white paper. The more ink added, the darker the color becomes. The key plate, which is usually black, is used to add contrast and detail to the image. CMYK is a subtractive color model, meaning that the more colors added, the closer the result gets to black. This model is used in printing because it is able to produce a wide range of colors and shades, making it ideal for reproducing photographs and other complex images.
