Barcode

A barcode is a machine-readable representation of information in a visual format on a surface. It consists of a series of parallel lines or squares of varying widths and spaces that can be read by an optical scanner. In data science, barcodes are commonly used to track and manage inventory, as well as to facilitate the checkout process in retail stores. They can also be used to encode other types of data, such as patient information in healthcare or shipping information in logistics. The most common type of barcode is the Universal Product Code (UPC), which is used to identify products in retail stores.
