Address Space
Address space refers to the range of memory addresses that a computer system can access. In data science and artificial intelligence, address space is important for managing memory allocation and ensuring that programs do not access memory outside of their allocated space. Address space can be divided into different segments, such as the stack, heap, and code segments, each with its own set of memory addresses and rules for accessing them. The size of the address space is determined by the number of bits used to represent memory addresses, with larger address spaces allowing for more memory to be accessed. Address space can also be virtualized, allowing multiple programs to share the same physical memory while maintaining their own separate address spaces.
