Quantum Bits

Quantum bits, also known as qubits, are the fundamental building blocks of quantum computing. Unlike classical bits, which can only exist in one of two states (0 or 1), qubits can exist in multiple states simultaneously, a phenomenon known as superposition. This allows quantum computers to perform certain calculations much faster than classical computers. Additionally, qubits can become entangled, meaning that the state of one qubit is dependent on the state of another, even if they are physically separated. This property is essential for quantum computing and enables the creation of quantum algorithms that can solve problems that are intractable for classical computers.
