Discrete-time Signals

Discrete-time signals are signals that are defined at specific, isolated points in time. In other words, they are signals that are only defined at certain discrete times, rather than continuously over time. Discrete-time signals are commonly used in digital signal processing, where they are represented as sequences of numbers. These sequences can be manipulated using various mathematical operations, such as convolution and Fourier transforms, to extract useful information or to modify the signal in some way. Discrete-time signals can be either deterministic or stochastic, depending on whether they are completely determined by their initial conditions or whether they contain some random or unpredictable component.
