Pseudo-random Number Generators

Pseudo-random Number Generators (PRNGs) are algorithms that generate a sequence of numbers that appear to be random but are actually deterministic. PRNGs are widely used in computer simulations, cryptography, and other applications where random numbers are needed. PRNGs work by starting with a seed value and using a mathematical formula to generate a sequence of numbers. The quality of a PRNG is determined by how well it approximates true randomness, as well as its period, which is the length of the sequence before it repeats. There are many different types of PRNGs, including linear congruential generators, Mersenne Twister, and Blum Blum Shub.
