Numeric Codes
Numeric codes refer to a system of representing data or information using numbers. In data science and artificial intelligence, numeric codes are often used to encode categorical variables, which are variables that take on a limited number of values. Numeric codes can be used to represent different categories or levels of a variable, such as gender, education level, or income bracket. Numeric codes can also be used to represent different types of data, such as binary data (0 or 1), ordinal data (data that can be ranked, such as survey responses), or interval data (data that has a meaningful order and equal intervals between values, such as temperature readings). Numeric codes are often used in machine learning algorithms to process and analyze large datasets, as they can be more easily manipulated and compared than categorical variables in their original form.
